Your Guide to DIA Inside|Out Exhibit in Berkley (With Photos)

Find out which artworks are on display where this summer, as well as special events surrounding the program.

Reproductions of five artworks from the Detroit Institute of Arts will be displayed this summer throughout Berkley as part of the fourth annual Inside|Out program.

The city is among 25 Metro area communities, including Huntington Woods, that will feature Inside|Out outdoor art installations this year.

The following artworks will remain on display from June through September.

  • Berkley Public Safety Building: "Fire in a Haystack" by Jules Adolphe Aime Louis Breton
  • The Berkley Farm Stand lot: "Girl and Laurel" by Homer Winslow
  • Berkley Public Library: "Coastal Scene with a Man-O-War" by Ludolf Backhuysen
  • M3 Investments: "Drummer Boy" by Thomas Couture
  • Berkley Department of Public Works: "Portrait of a Mughal Prince" by Unknown

New this year, residents of participating Inside|Out communities are invited to visit the museum for free on a specified "community weekend," during which they will receive free admission, as well as a 10 percent discount in the Cafe DIA and museum shop, $1 off Detroit Film Theatre tickets and free admission to showings of the DFT 101 film series.

Berkley's community weekend will be Sept. 14-15.
