ReplyAnd yet, the Carroll Campus expands.... how much tax revenue are we losing as opposed by the city services required? And I am talking about not only the frat houses but the "leased" student housing on Grand and College Avenues(owned by whom? Look at the principle officers of Clysmic Springs) I wouldn't pay that kind of money to have my brats go to Carroll, although it would get them out of my hair.

ReplyI sure hope it's not the roadway paving like the stuff they used in Southfield, on Catalpa just on the other side of Greenfield! That stuff is TERRIBLE! It was just laid down last fall and it is gouged up and full of potholes. Was projected to last 7-8 years. Didn't even last 7-8 MONTHS! If you can't afford to do it right, where you gonna find the money to do it over?

ReplyI went through this consolidation/downsizing with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee not that long ago. I'm just going to have to wait until this all settles down before I go looking for my new church "home" in Berkley area. I can't go through this again. It became very ugly and it made me sad.

ReplyNot once in the last seven years has anyone involved in my medical treatment of cancer asked me how I felt, how am I doing emotionally or how I was going to pay for it. It was like a giant veterinary appointment. People write you off and avoid you when you get a cancer dx. It's a very lonely disease. You lose a lot of "friends".

ReplyWow. How many local jobs were just lost?
Will your taxes go DOWN?
You really want to "save money", charge the students to ride the bus. You charge them book fees, activity fees, parking fees, why not another "user fee"?
Where exactly is the FIRST STUDENT bus barn and terminal? Or has it yet to be built? where? Did you clear this with the City of Waukesha? What will happen to the Dairyland/Wisconsin Coach facility?
You don't like what the School Board has done on your behalf? You know what to do on Election Day. -
