Bryan is a journalist based in Huntington Woods, Michigan. Married to his wife, Amy, an attorney, the couple has three children, ages 7, 5 and 3.
After graduation from college in Boston, Bryan moved to New York and took a staff writer's position with Adweek magazine, covering the then-nascent Internet advertising industry.
After spending two years in New York, Bryan moved to Los Angeles and earned a master's degree in journalism from UCLA. While in L.A., Bryan became managing editor of the Brentwood Media Group's collection of community newspapers; coverage of the company's six monthly publications covered areas from Pacific Palisades south to Santa Monica and east to Beverly Hills.
He moved back to Detroit in 2000 and joined Patch.com in 2012.
