Berkley Days bake sale kicks off a yearlong fundraising effort for the BHS orchestra to get to Carnegie Hall
From more than 200 applicants, five students from Norup International participated in the district four Honors Band.
The BHS choir and full symphony orchestra will present the U.S. premiere of “My Name is Anne Frank: A Cantata,” in partnership with the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills.
Norup International Middle School band and orchestra students receive high rating at MSBOA festival; BHS Jazz Ensemble receives First Division rating.
For Berkley High School band students, a trip to New York City included a performance on the deck of the Intrepid Museum and a chance to see the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center.
Students from Berkley middle school band programs, and the Berkley High School Jazz Ensemble, performed to a standing-room only crowd at the All-City Band Concert
Band and orchestra students took high honors in solo and ensemble events at the annual MSBOA State Festival. Concerts scheduled for May in Berkley.
Community outreach is an important part of music education in Berkley. Band students at Anderson Middle School performed at Oxford Park Towers in Berkley.

The Berkley School District annual Junior Band Jam features the combined 5th grade bands and the combined 6th grade bands from BSD elementary and middle schools.
