Optimists Honor Local High School Students
Students from Berkley High School, Shrine Catholic High School and Royal Oak High School shared their goals and ambitions over breakfast Wednesday in Royal Oak.
The Royal Oak Optimist Club honored a dozen area high school students at its annual Youth Appreciation Awards Breakfast at the Salter Center on Wednesday morning. The students were selected by advisers and faculty from Berkley High School, Shrine Catholic High School and Royal Oak High School for their outstanding achievement in the classroom and the community. Optimist Club members, who interviewed the young men and women prior to the awards, gave presentations sharing each student's goals, ambitions and proudest achievements. The following students were presented with a certificate, as well as a gift card to Barnes & Noble and flash drive at this morning's event: Berkley High School Shrine Catholic High School Royal Oak High School
