Huntington Woods City Commissioner Appointed to National League of Cities Committee

Jeff Jenks will help shape the organization's transportation policies and advocate for them in Congress and within President Barack Obama's administration.

Huntington Woods City Commissioner Jeff Jenks recently was appointed to serve as the sole Michigan representative on the National League of Cities' transportation advisory committee. Jenks, who also serves as vice chairman of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, was appointed earlier this month to the NLC's 2013 Transportation Infrastructure & Services Policy and Advocacy Committee. In the role, he will help shape the organization's policies and advocate for them in Congress and within President Barack Obama's administration, according to a press release.  The committee develops NLC federal policy positions on issues involving transportation, including planning, funding, safety and security of public transit, streets and highways…
