SEMCOG Asks Public for Input on Traffic Safety

Residents are encouraged to comment on the region’s long-range transportation plan.

As part of its public outreach efforts in developing Southeast Michigan’s 2040 Regional Transportation Plan, SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, has released the fifth in a series of videos about the region’s transportation system. Standing Room-Only Crowd Turns Out for Woodward Transit Meeting

Officials from Berkley and Huntington Woods, public transportation users and interested citizens packed the Berkley Community Center on Monday evening to discuss the $2 million Woodward Avenue Rapid Transit Alternatives Analysis.

A standing room-only crowd turned out Monday evening at the Berkley Community Center to learn about an ongoing study of public transportation options along Woodward Avenue and to help shape the process. Officials from Berkley and Huntington Woods, public transit users and interested citizens packed the open house that focused on the $2 million Woodward Avenue Rapid Transit Alternatives Analysis. Help Drive Woodward Avenue Public Transit Plan

Berkley and Huntington Woods residents are invited to learn about and discuss the ongoing Woodward Rapid Transit Alternatives Analysis Study during an open house Monday, Dec. 3.

Berkley and Huntington Woods residents who would like to help shape the future of public transit along the Woodward Avenue corridor are invited to participate in an open house Monday at the Berkley Community Center. Representatives from the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and participating communities will explain the ongoing $2 million Woodward Rapid Transit Alternatives Analysis Study during the event from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 3. The study seeks to develop a transportation plan along 27 miles of Woodward Avenue from Detroit to Pontiac.
