The Berkley Environmental Advisory Committee will accept nominations through Oct. 31.

The Berkley Environmental Advisory Committee is seeking Recycler of the Year nominations and there's still time to recognize someone for their efforts to reduce waste and inspire others to follow suit. The award serves as a thank you of sorts for ardent recyclers, but also has the potential added benefit of increasing the rate of recycling in Berkley. "Recycling in Berkley drives down city solid waste costs and increases revenue to the city from the purchase of recycled materials," a Berkley Environmental Advisory Committee press release reads.
