The city will rename the drive leading into Rackham Golf Course in his honor during a ceremony Thursday.

The city of Huntington Woods will honor golf great Ben Davis during a ceremony Thursday at Rackham Golf Course. The drive leading into the course will be renamed “Ben Davis Drive” in honor of one of the country's first African-American golf pros, who passed away in April. Michigan Postcard: Rackham Golf Course

Golf course that abuts Huntington Woods is a welcome part of the neighborhood.

One of the things Julie Cohen loves about living in Huntington Woods is that Rackham Golf Course borders her neighborhood. "It's such a beautiful course," she said of the public golf course established in 1923 and designed by legendary course architect Donald Ross. Cohen took this photo of Rackham while on an early walk with her dog. What do you like best about where you live? To email this photo, just look for the EMAIL button above the headline.
