Huntington Woods, Berkley Students Eligible for Scholarship Contest
Lawrence Technological University will award up to 100 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per year for 4 years in an essay competition open to Michigan high school seniors.
When it comes to college tuition, a little financial aid never hurts – especially when it comes in the form of scholarships. Through Feb. 1, Lawrence Technological University in Southfield is hosting an essay contest to award up to 100 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 a year for four years. The contest is open to Michigan high school seniors (that means you Huntington Woods and Berkley students!), but the award must be used at Lawrence Tech. Here's how it works: Up to 100 students who enter the essay contest will win a four-year scholarship to Lawrence Tech. All essay winners receive a scholarship, but a second round of competition will be held to determine how large the award is for each student. Contest winners will be invited …

Remember this: Don't think of $1000 as a small scholarship. Think of it as $1000 you may not need to borrow. And who knows? You could nab $4000 - not exactly chump change.   more ›
