Huntington Woods Native Kristen Bell Stars in Sundance Film Festival Selection

"The Lifeguard" is among the movies with Michigan ties that have been chosen for the annual indie showcase in Park City, Utah.

Huntington Woods native Kristen Bell is among the Michiganders whose works are being showcased during this year's Sundance Film Festival. Bell stars in "The Lifeguard," which is one of 119 full-length films chosen from 12,146 entries for the annual indie showcase that runs from Jan. 17 to Jan. 27 in Park City, Utah, according to Sundance.org. The drama follows the journey of a stressed-out reporter who quits her job in New York City after a failed love affair and returns to her family home in Connecticut to sort out her life as she approaches her 30th birthday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Huntington Woods native and her fiance Dax Shepard of Milford say they won't wed until gay marriage is legal in California.

Huntington Woods native Kristen Bell and her fiance Dax Shepard of Milford are expecting a baby, according to reports. The actors, who don't plan to wed until gay marriage is legal in California, told PEOPLE.com they are expecting their first child in late spring. “They’re so excited — they’re both ecstatic," PEOPLE reported a friend of the couple said. "Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of House of Lies and is feeling great.” The pair has been together since 2007 and got engaged in 2009, according to the Los Angeles Times. “I don't believe in standing in the way of love, and I want to stand up for that right," Bell told CNN.com in an interview this summer as she and Dax …

Huntington Woods Native Kristen Bell Heads to Nashville

The Shrine High School grad and actress will join country star Toby Keith to co-host the upcoming CMT Music Awards.

She’s not a country star, but Huntington Woods’ Kristen Bell is expected to make a fine co-host for this year’s CMT Music Awards. The 31-year-old actress from House of Lies and Forgetting Sarah Marshall will try her hand at hosting live next month with Toby Keith, a nominee and returning host of the award show in Nashville, People.com reported. "Country music makes me happy," the Royal Oak Shrine Catholic High School graduate told People, noting that she hopes to run into Miranda Lambert, a favorite of hers. The CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville on June 6 on CMT and www.cmt.com.
