June Moon Furniture Celebrates First Birthday
The shop on Coolidge Highway in Berkley will hold a reception to mark the occasion Thursday evening.
June Moon Furniture in Berkley has had a banner year. The home decor and design shop on Coolidge Highway opened one year ago Thursday and owner Maureen Popkin has since built up a loyal clientele, introduced new furniture lines and spearheaded the launch of the Coolidge Collection of businesses. She will mark the anniversary with a free reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the shop during the Coolidge Collection's monthly First Thursdays, when businesses along the highway stay open late and offer special goodies to entice shoppers. The June Moon reception, which is open to the public, will feature door prizes and refreshments from Butterfly Bake Shoppe and Party Cakes.
