UPDATED: Huntington Woods Bank Robbery Suspect Charged
John Jones, 47, of Royal Oak Township is being held in the Oakland County Jail without bond.
The suspect in a robbery last week at Chase Bank in Huntington Woods was arraigned Wednesday. The man is being held in the Oakland County Jail without bond, Huntington Woods Public Safety Director Steve Fairman said. John Jones of Royal Oak Township was charged in 45th District Court in Oak Park via video arraignment from the jail, The Daily Tribune reported. Judge David Gubow ordered Jones jailed without bond, according to the report. The 47-year-old, who was shot Sept. 10 in Pleasant Ridge after fleeing the robbery scene, was released from Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and turned over to the jail Monday, Huntington Woods Public Safety Deputy Director Nick Armold told The Daily Tribune.
