The report indicated that the driver, who was visibly intoxicated, told the officer he was heading home to Berkley after having "10 beers" with friends at a Dearborn bar. A preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol level was .14; a second test taken as the man was being …

Zero cars reported stolen from the suburban community since 2010 while other nonviolent crime reports are few, public safety department says.
Whether it’s fine patrolling or something else, the city of Huntington Woods has not had a vehicle reported stolen within its city limits since 2010; even that year the grand total of thefts totaled just one, according to the Huntington Woods Public Safety Department. That number was exponentially smaller than the total number of cars pinched from the affluent yet tiny residential enclave the year prior. In 2009, Huntington Woods Public Safety Department reported five vehicle theft cases. A request of other nonviolent crime statistics from Jan. 1-March 9 turned up only two moving violations, one of which took place in Oak Park. In Huntington Woods on Jan. 28, a woman was pulled over after disobeying a stop sign at Woodward Avenue and Salem…
