Berkley doubled up Southfield on Wednesday night, beating the Blue Jays 11-5. Coming off a big game Tuesday, Ian Kobernick was at it again for the Bears against the Blue Jays. He was 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a double. He also was the winning pitcher. Kobernick allowed four runs and struck out four over six innings. Taylor Morrissey also had a big night. He hit a two-run homerun and finished the night 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Dugan Fernandez was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two walks. Berkley High School improved to 5-0 on the season with the win.

Coach David Roche is excited about the future of Berkley Bears wrestling. Roche had three wrestlers place at the individual districts meet at Birmingham Groves on Saturday, and all three will return next season. "They wrestled awesome today," Roche said. "We have been reeling from injuries recently and we are a very young team." This year's team features seven freshman and not a single senior, which means the whole team will return next year. "The team is peaking at the right time. We always aim for the end of the season to be at our best and the guys look really good right now," Roche said.
