Shanti Yoga Gives to St. Jude Kids Yogathon
  • 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, June 15
  • Shanti Yoga Studio in Berkley
  • Approximately 20 yoga studios across the country, including Shanti Yoga Studio in Berkley, are breathing life into an inaugural program called Yoga Gives to St. Jude Kids to raise awareness and funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Author Shay Stone to Appear at Berkley Book Corner
  • 5 p.m. Saturday, June 15
  • The Berkley Book Corner, 2680 Coolidge in Berkley 
  • Author Shay Stone, the author of "Pain Pain Go Away" which recounts her experiences with chronic pain and what she learned as a patient at the Mayo Clinic, will have her Michigan Debut on Saturday. Stone will read from her book and answer audience questions.

BRU Fest 2013
  • 7-11 p.m. Saturday, June 15
  • Royal Oak Farmer's Market

Chicken Wings for Land Conservation
2 p.m. Saturday, June 15
  • 503 Poplar, Royal Oak
  • Join Oakland County elected officials, State Representatives, members of the Clinton and Huron River Watershed Councils, Michigan Now radio host Chris McCarus and more to support North Oakland Headwaters Land Conservancy’s 41st year protecting the headwaters of the Clinton, Huron, Shiawassee and Flint Rivers. Event is a chance to "support clean drinking water and eat the best chicken wings in Oakland County!"
Michigan Institute of Urology Run for the Ribbon
  • 8 a.m. Sunday, June 16
  • Held at the Detroit Zoo
  • The MIU Run for the Ribbon aims to increase awareness about prostate cancer. More than 1,500 runners/walkers participate each year.
