  1. The Berkley School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the Avery Center in Oak Park.
  2. A mini-food truck rally at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, outside Burton Elementary School in Huntington Woods will feature Franks Etc. hot dogs, Jacques Tacos and more. A portion of sales will benefit the Parent Teacher Association at Burton.
  3. Huntington Woods resident Dave Falk will host an acoustic open mic night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Goldfish Tea Room in Royal Oak.
  4. The Berkley Downtown Development Authority will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Berkley Public Safety Building.
  5. The Jewish faithful will observe Yom Kippur, a holy day of atonement, beginning the evening of Friday, Sept. 13, and ending the evening of Saturday, Sept. 14.
