7 Things You Should Know This Week in Berkley, Huntington Woods

  1. The Berkley School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Rogers Elementary School.
  2. The Huntington Woods City Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at City Hall. 
  3. The Huntington Woods Recreation Department will host its annual health fair from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Recreation Center. The free event will feature flu shots, blood pressure screenings, refreshments and more.
  4. The Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Chamber Chat networking event from 8-9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at America's Stamp Stop in Berkley.
  5. The Friends of the Berkley Public Library will host its fall book sale from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Berkley Public Library.
  6. The Berkley Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Community Center. The event also will include baked goods, lunch and a silent auction.
  7. Tour the garden during a free party starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Song and Spirit in Berkley. The event will feature cooking demonstrations, food tastings, music, a keynote address by Mayor Phil O'Dwyer and more.
