Weekend Countdown: 59th Annual Berkley Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast

The all-you-can-eat event serves as the major fundraiser for the organization, which offers scholarships to Berkley High School grads, sponsors exchange students and aids the Berkley Public Library and community projects such Lids For Kids.

There's plenty going on this weekend in Berkley and Huntington Woods, including opportunities to combine fun with philanthropy.

  • Why go: Enjoy all-you-can eat pancakes, sausage, bagels, juice and coffee served with a smile to support the Rotary Club's charitable efforts. "The Pancake Breakfast is the Berkley Rotary Club's major fundraiser," Berkley Public Library Director Celia Morse wrote in an e-mail to Berkley Patch. "Rotary International is the world's oldest and largest service organization and sponsors international programs including clean water projects and polio eradication as well as thousands of local projects. The Berkley Rotary Club sponsors high school exchange students, offers scholarships to graduates, and assists with many community projects including and the Berkley Public Library."
