Get Involved: 3 Causes to Support in the Community this Week

Residents who get involved and make a difference are undoubtably a vital part of what makes a community.

Here's a look at three upcoming opportunities to get involved in the community:

Help out Yad Ezra

, the nonprofit organization that helps to provide kosher food and other necessities to those in need in the Jewish community, is driven by volunteers and supporters.

You can get involved to support this local mission in a hands-on way by volunteering your time at the food pantry or through donations. Remember Yad Ezra when grocery shopping or if you have some extra items that could be distributed there.

Root on your team tonight

The Huntington Woods Teen Council and are teaming up to take on the Huntington Woods Men's Club in a charity softball game tonight. 

The game runs 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday on the Burton Baseball fields behind the .  In addition to the game, there will be a hot dog roast, moonwalk and a raffle with prizes.
