DTE: Power Outage Is Near End

"Ninety percent who've been affected will have power restored (Friday night)," spokesman Len Singer said. "The majority of the remainder will be restored by Saturday night."

A DTE spokesman said Friday that most of the 75,000 utility customers without power in southeast Michigan should have their service restored tonight.

However, he warned that there likely will be some individual exceptions.

There were on Friday night according to DTE's outage map, and 921 without service in Berkley.

Starting with , 325,000 customers in southeast Michigan have lost power, Singer said.

"So, we've restored 250,000 of those 325,000," he said, adding that among the 75,000 still without power are 35,000 customers in Oakland County.

"Oakland County was probably the hardest hit of the areas we serve," Singer said.
