Berkley Preps for City-Wide Garage Sale

Whether it’s the unused odds and ends found in your home after spring cleaning that you’re looking to get rid of, or the opportunity to bring in some extra cash, garage sale season is here to help.

In particular, is hosting its fifth annual Community Garage Sale this month. During the event, local residents can sell their gently used items while others are on the hunt to turn one person’s trash into their own personal treasure.

The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23-24. Registration is open now.

The cost to participate officially in the community-wide sale ranges from $10-$50. Here’s a look at the pricing:

• $10 if you have a sign from participating a previous year.
• $20 to have a sale from your home and receive a sign.
• $25 for a 3 foot by 8 foot table at the (items must be taken home at night).
• $30 for a table with electricity at the Community Center.

The deadline to register is Friday and payments may be made by credit card over the phone. Call the Berkley Community Center at 248-658-3470.
