Wayne State Fans to Gather in Berkley for Historic Game

24 Seconds Bar & Grill will host a viewing party Saturday as the Warriors, in their first national championship football game, take on the Pittsburgh State Gorillas.

The Wayne State University Warriors will play in their first national championship football game Saturday and in Berkley is hosting a viewing party for fans.

The Division II championship game against the Pittsburgh State Gorillas will be held at 11 a.m. in Florence, AL, and broadcast live on ESPN2.

The Wayne State Tartars are 12-3 overall this year.

"The football team never played in a post-season game until this year. Now our 'Cinderella Team' could win it all," reads an email from 24 Seconds. "So if you're not going to Alabama, please join us  this Saturday to watch the championship game."

The venue's owners Bob Bronstein and Alan Bakst, both WSU alumni, opened 24 Seconds six years ago, a milestone they will celebrate later Saturday night.
