Berkley Steelers Cheerleaders to Compete in 'Cheer-Off'
Root on the squad Saturday at Royal Oak High School.
They got you in the spirit at the football games this season, now it's your turn to root for the Berkley Steelers cheerleaders this weekend during a 'Cheer-Off' at Royal Oak High School.
The contest, which kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday, is described as the equivalent of the Oakland/Macomb Youth Football Association's 'Super Bowl' championship.
Twelve teams representing local cities will compete in the 'Cheer-Off.' The freshman, junior varsity and varsity squads will perform separate cheer and dance routines and be ranked and awarded first, second and third place prizes. The flag division will not be judged.
