Berkley Baseball Crushes Oak Park, 10-0

Nick Bauer leads the Bears' season-opening victory on Wednesday.

The varsity baseball team opened the season with a 10-0 win over Oakland Activities Association Gold division opponent Oak Park in five innings on Wednesday.

Nick Bauer did a little of everything to start the Bears off on the right foot. He pitched three scoreless innings to pick up the win, striking out seven of the nine batters he faced.

“He was throwing strikes and that’s all we ask for,” Berkley coach Jordan Gruppen said.
