Intro to Colored Pencil Drawing

An introduction class that consists of lecture and in-class projects with individual help. You will learn basic skills and practice techniques about pencils, materials and tools, inspiration, composition, lighting, understanding color and develop your art of color layering. You will generate your own cheat sheets of color and color combinations.

Instructor, Ken Hank has been a colored pencil artist for over 40 years. Educated at the famed Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, he instructed advertising courses at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit. He is a member of the South Oakland Art Association (SOAA) and the Color Pencil Society of America, the Royal Oak Chapter. Currently he has work on exhibition in Indianapolis at The National Art Museum of Sport.
