The Berkley School District and Our Lady of La Salette Catholic School and Academy in Berkley were among more than 680 districts throughout Metro Detroit to cancel classes Friday.

The districts were among more than 680 throughout Metro Detroit to do so following an overnight snowfall, according to clickondetroit.com.

The National Weather Service said snow showers were likely Friday morning, with new accumulation up to 3 inches and wind gusts as high as 30 miles per hour in Berkley and Huntington Woods.

  • Christine Jarnick Birac: They put a white crayon under their pillows!
  • Kara Kramer Watson: Inside out pjs, spoon under pillow, white crayon in freezer and flush an ice cube down the toilet. It worked last Monday;)
  • Sandy Fisher Purdy: Pennies in the freezer too!
