An Opportunity to Create Art That Inspires and Entertains
Oak Park, MI - The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, Active Life Department presents renowned artist, Daniel Cascardo’s The Colors of Kindness, A Community Wide Project on Thursday, April 11th noon -3:00PM.

Daniel Cascardo’s works have appeared on everything from pizza boxes to sculptures most notably and recently on a bag from True Religion fragrance. Active Life Director, Noemi Herzig, encourages all members of the community and nearby communities to be apart of this one day event. Cascardo will be in Oak Park for an extraordinary community project. Cascardo will outline a painting at the Jewish Community Center while the community at large is invited to paint it for a permanent piece of art exhibit.

Cascardo, as a child would create images from his imagination often doodling in countless notepads. Being a visual artist, the random drawings and spontaneous doodling became a symbiotic language transporting thoughts of endless possibilities.  Almost 40 years later that same spontaneity and freestyle designs have been painted on large outdoor murals clothing, vehicles, sculptures and pizza boxes for Amici Pizza in Berkley, MI. “I embrace every opportunity to create art that inspires and entertains,” says Cascardo.

The Colors of Kindness Community wide project is made available by the generous support of Mr. & Mrs. Jerome Glassman, Carol and Ron Fogel, Mr. & Dr. Jon Levin. A suggested donation: $3 a person ($1 minimum). Entertainment and light refreshments included.
