Your Guide to Voting by Absentee Ballot
Find out about key deadlines and how to track your application.
There is little more than a month before the Nov. 8 general election, which means absentee voters still have time to make arrangements.
For those who can't make it to the polls on Election Day to vote in the municipal and Board of Education elections in Berkley and Huntington Woods, the following are a few helpful guidelines.
- To vote by absentee ballot, an application must be filled out (see attached PDF), signed and submitted to the city clerk, who will check the signature against one on file, Huntington Woods Clerk/Treasurer Joy Solanskey said.
- The deadline for when an absentee ballot can be mailed or taken out of the office is 2 p.m. Nov. 5.
- The deadline to request an absentee ballot in person is 4 p.m. Nov. 7; the ballot cannot be taken out of the office after this time.
- All absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. Nov. 8.
An application can be requested in person, by mail at or , or via phone:
