U.S. Rep. Sander Levin to Visit Berkley City Council

A proclamation recognizing recognizing Martin Luther King Day, the Berkley Public Library's 2011-2012 annual report and discussion of several Public Safety contract positions also are on the agenda Monday night.

The Berkley City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at City Hall.

The agenda includes the following items.

  • United States Rep. Sander Levin, D-MI, will address the City Council.
  • A proclamation recognizing Martin Luther King Day on Jan. 21 will be approved.
  • The Berkley Public Library's 2011-2012 annual report will be received.
  • Several administrative matters relating to Public Safety Department contract positions will be discussed.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be opportunities for citizen comments. It also is available to view live on the city's website.
