Status Quo Prevails in Huntington Woods Election

Ronald Gillham re-elected mayor Tuesday and incumbents Jeffrey Jenks and Mary White will continue to serve on the City Commission.

It was a quiet election Tuesday in Huntington Woods, where candidates for mayor and City Commission ran unopposed.

Incumbent Ronald Gillham will serve another four-year term as mayor and incumbents Jeffrey Jenks and Mary White will fill two four-year terms on the City Commission.

"The voter turnout looks like it will be awfully low," City Clerk Joy Solanskey said midafternoon, with contributing factors being rain much of the day and all three municipal races being uncontested.
