Second-graders from Rogers Elementary School got an up-close look at how community government works Wednesday when they visited 45A District Court in Berkley.

The students saw the court in action and followed up with a question-and-answer session.

"Judge Jamie Wittenberg is one of our parents and he ... invited us to come visit and see how part of our community government works," teacher Jennifer Butka said.
