Preview: Huntington Woods City Commission to Discuss Permits, Appointments and More

Five charity run permits are up for consideration at Tuesday's meeting along with changes to the city's lawn and snow removal services ordinances.

The Huntington Woods City Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to take up several items, including filling board vacancies, permit requests for charitable runs and other administrative business.

Molly Rott, the Teen Council liaison, is on the agenda to update the commission on Huntington Woods Teen Council activities. Commissioners are also slated take up the matter of consideration of appointing residents to vacancies on boards, commissions and committees.

  • Shades of Pink Foundation 5K run, April 28. 
  • Michigan Institute of Urology 5K Prostate Cancer Awareness Run, June 17.
  • 33rd annual Scleroderma Run/Walk, June 24.
  • City of Huntington Woods Fireworks Run/Walk Boom! 5K Run, June 30.
  • Annual “Run Wild” for the Detroit Zoo, Sept. 16. 

Also on the agenda are several resolutions, changes to the city's snow removal and lawn maintenance services ordinances and the matter of authorizing the purchase of a thermal imaging camera, funded by the Huntington Woods Men's Club. 

Reports from the treasurer, library, public works and the Environmental Advisory Committee are also on the agenda.
