Preview: Berkley City Council Meeting

Spring and summer events are on the agenda Monday evening.

The Berkley City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at to take up several spring and summer events and conduct some administrative business.

The Berkley Days Association will be recognized for conducting the annual festival, which was held May 12-15 at and the . Kids of all ages enjoyed carnival rides, pancake breakfasts, the new Taste of Berkley event, a used book sale, a pooch pageant and more.

The council also will consider approving the Berkley Junior Women’s Club event Robina Rhapsody and authorizing the purchase of official Dream Cruise merchandise.

Other items on the agenda include:

  • Authorizing a contract with The Beresh Group, Inc. to install insulation at the City Hall.
  • Granting a special use approval to the to construct a garage.
  • Authorizing an amendment of the 2010-2011 operating budget.
