Phil O'Dwyer Elected Mayor of Berkley

Berkley voters elected a new mayor with an Irish brogue Tuesday, selecting City Councilman Phil O'Dwyer, who ran unopposed, to replace Marilyn Stephan.
Alan Kideckel, as well as incumbents Eileen Steadman and Dan Terbrack, who also ran unopposed, were chosen to serve on City Council.
O'Dwyer, who has served on the council for 6 years, leaves a vacancy that must be filled within 30 days by appointment, Berkley City Clerk Cheryl Printz said. He will serve a two-year term as mayor.
