City Council to Consider Rezoning for Parking, Vinsetta Garage Special Use Permit Request

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Berkley City Hall.

The Berkley City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Among the items that will be discussed are the following.

  • An ordinance to rezone two lots in the Larkmoor Boulevard subdivision from single-family residential district to parking district. Monday night will be the first reading of the ordinance; it will be back on the agenda Oct. 15.
  • A special use permit that would allow Vinsetta Garage to continue beverage service in the outdoor waiting area east of the building. The Planning Commission considered the request during its Sept. 25 meeting. Vinsetta Garage already has approval for outdoor service from the Liquor Control Commission, City Planner Amy Vansen said.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be opportunities for citizen comments. It also is available to view live on the city's website.
