City Commission to Receive Audit, Consider Road Work Agreement With Oak Park

The commission will gather at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Woods Gallery inside the Huntington Woods Public Library to hear from the city's auditors and again at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall for its regularly scheduled meeting.

The Huntington Woods City Commission will meet twice Tuesday, once to receive the city's annual audit and again to conduct its regularly scheduled meeting.

The commission will gather first at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Woods Gallery inside the Huntington Woods Public Library to receive its annual audit from auditors with Post, Symthe, Lutz & Ziel.

It will meet again at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. The City Commission meeting agenda includes the following items, among others.

  • A report by liaison Shelby Miller on Huntington Woods Teen Council activities and events.
  • Public comment on the proposed use of $9,704 in Community Development Block Grant program funds for 2013.
  • Consideration of a resolution in support of the Woodward Avenue Gran Fondo cycling event.
  • Authorizing an agreement with the city of Oak Park for intersection improvements at 10 Mile Road and Coolidge Highway.
  • Consideration of a bid from Doheny’s of Kenosha, WI, for the purchase of an Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant chair lift for the pool using 2011 CDBG funds.

The meetings are open to the public, and there will be opportunities for citizen comments.
