Berkley City Councilman Studies at Harvard University

Steve Baker will attend the John F. Kennedy School of Government from July 8-26 as part of the Taubman Company's Fellowship for Executive Excellence program.

Berkley City Councilman Steve Baker has begun his summer studies at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, as part of a prestigious fellowship program for government officials.

"Beginning day 1 at Harvard – thanks to my family, Berkley and DTE colleagues, and SEMCOG for this great opportunity!" Baker posted Monday on his Facebook page.

The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments selected Baker – along with Wayne County Commissioner Kevin McNamara – for the Taubman Company's Fellowship for Executive Excellence, which it administers. As Taubman fellows, Baker and McNamara will study July 8-26 in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
