Valuables Taken from Locked Vehicles

The following information was supplied by the Berkley Public Safety Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two residents reported to the Berkley Public Safety Department that valuables were taken from their locked vehicles in Berkley.

There are no suspects in either case, both of which are under investigation.

Tools taken from work van

A resident in the 2420 block of Oakshire reported that he parked his work van in his driveway at approximately 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and when he returned to the vehicle at approximately 12:45 a.m. Nov. 4, the driver's side door was not fully closed. The man reported that the driver-side seat was pushed up and clothing that had been between the front seats was thrown on the passenger seat. The dash panel also was open and things were strewn about, according to the report. A portable air compressor and two nail guns were missing, the man reported.

He also found the driver's-side door lock and a piece of plexiglass that had been screwed onto a passenger's-side window had been damaged, according to the report.

IPhone speaker, Costco and Kroger cards, and more taken from vehicle

A resident in the 1000 block of Eaton reported that someone entered her vehicle and took $10 in change, Costco and Kroger cards, an iPhone speaker and charger cables between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and 5 p.m. Nov. 3. The woman reported there was no damage to her vehicle.
