Police Blotter: Power Tools, Motorcycle Taken

One resident's garage door was forced open; the other's vehicle was taken from his back yard.

Public Safety officials in Berkley and Huntington Woods have tackled a variety of reports during the past week, including the following:

  • A resident in the 2500 block of Oakshire in Berkley reported the side door of his garage, which had been secured with a combination lock, was forced open sometime between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. The resident reported power tools and equipment were taken. There are no known suspects.
  • A resident in the 2600 block of Oxford reported Saturday that a motorcycle was taken from his back yard approximately a week prior. He said the motorcycle had been covered by a tarp. The are no suspects.

Residents are encouraged to keep their doors locked and property secured. Residents who have information to report or who notice something unusual in their neighborhood are urged to call the at 248-658-3380 or the at 248-541-1180.
