Police Blotter: License Plate, Wine Taken

Berkley, Huntington Woods experienced a relatively quiet week on the crime front.

Public Safety officials in Berkley and Huntington Woods have tackled a variety of reports during the past week, including the following.

License plate removed

A woman reported that between 11:10 a.m. March 30 and 8:10 a.m. March 31 that the license plate of a car that had been parked in her driveway on Elgin Avenue in Huntington Woods was removed. The woman said she last saw the plate March 30 when she went to work at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Where the plate was stolen is unknown, and there are no suspects.

Wine taken from Westborn

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, an employee of in Berkley reported having seen a man put a bottle of Franks Family wine under his jacket and leave the store without paying. Responding officers checked the area, but the man was not located. The employee was instructed to contact the if the man returned.
