Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle, rollover accident Friday on I-696 in Huntington Woods.
The Michigan State Police, with assistance from the Huntington Woods and Berkley Public Safety Departments and Alliance Mobile Health, responded to the scene, where at least one vehicle had rolled over; the other could be seen just past midday loaded onto a tow truck.
Westbound traffic on 696 was backed up from the scene, which was between Woodward Avenue and Coolidge Highway, with access to the highway closed along that stretch.
But, by early afternoon, the scene was cleared and traffic was flowing normally, Huntington Woods Public Safety Lt. Ron Livingston said.
Two people were taken to the hospital after the accident, Livingston said.
Representatives at the Michigan State Police post in Oak Park did not respond to requests for comment.
