The Berkley Public Safety Department responded to a report of a missing saxophone on Sept. 20 after two people reported that the instrument went missing at approximately 4:50 p.m. in the 2280 block of Thomas.

According to the officer who took the report, one of the victims said he set the saxophone on the grass on the north side of Oxford while chasing his dog, which had gotten loose. After capturing the dog, the man discovered the saxophone was missing, the report said.
