"We're doing OK, we're pretty consistent," Berkley Public Safety Deputy Director Robert North said.

Huntington Woods Public Safety Director Steve Fairman said that while he is happy to see the number of property crimes decline, the city experiences so few problems overall that, statistically speaking, the change is not significant.

"Honestly, I think that's a tribute to not only all of my employees, but to the residents, too," he said. "It takes a community partnership to keep it that way."

The “Crime in the United States” report is compiled from data that is collected and then provided to the FBI. The report is used by federal, state and local law enforcement to identify crime trends in the community.
