One thing folks can't help with is the weather: The National Weather Service says the likelihood of a major snowfall this week is slim, predicting only a 20 percent chance of rain or snow Thursday. Saturday is expected to be partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 35 and a low around 23.

"I really do hope Winterfest has some winter weather associated with it," a hopeful Terbrack said.
