Last Chance: Sign Up to Compete for First 'Miss Berkley' Title
The deadline has been extended to sign up for the inaugural Miss Berkley Pageant during Berkley Days this year.
New this year at the annual Berkley Days festival will be the Ms. Berkley Pageant.
Berkley Days representative Denise Brainard told City Council at Monday night’s meeting that the inaugural event has drawn a lot of interest already. Interest was especially noticable, she said, as the initial deadline approached, so registration has been extended until Friday.
The pageant is for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors and is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 15 at during Berkley Days. The winner of the pageant will represent Berkley throughout the year and also receive a $500 scholarship.
