In this season of thanks and giving, Lighthouse of Oakland County is working to ensure that struggling families have enough food and that lights and heat stay on as they face the cold months ahead. The Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) reported more than 130,000 Oakland County families are living below the poverty threshold.
