DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS MEXICAN FIESTA DINNER

The creative hardworking culinary students at Oakland Community College
Culinary Studies Institute are at it again, this time bringing the
flavors of Mexico to the metro Detroit area.

The Mexican feast
will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 6 pm at the Culinary
Studies Institute at the Farmington Hills, Orchard Ridge Campus of
Oakland Community College. Tickets for the event are $50 a person for a
five–course Mexican dining experience. The $50 five–course meal will
reflect the food and culture of Mexico to include wine and or beer with
the meal service. There will be a prelude of passed appetizers in which
guest may purchase a specialty cocktail.

The Events and Catering
class plan on providing the guests with an experience of Mexico’s Día de
Los Muertos, a national holiday in Mexico, in which Mexicans celebrate
their dearly departed loved ones with a celebration of their lives with
decorations, favorite foods, and parades. Mexican delicacies will be
prepared by the student chefs of the Buffet and Banquets class, while
the Baking Merchandising class will be selling Mexican inspired baked
goods and pastries before and during the event.

Checks are payable to Oakland Community College. Tickets can be purchased by printing the ticket order form at https://oaklandcc.edu/Culinary/ReservationForm.pdf
