Getting the band together

Asher has a busy summer planned. Blogging about the environment and trips with his family, including going Up North in August, are just part of the summer fun in store for the incoming fourth-grader. A recent Facebook post from his mother revealed another endeavor the 9-year-old planned to pursue: starting a band.

Asher is seeking kids ages 8-10 who play a musical instrument or can  do “anything that could help with the band” to contact his mother via email. Asher said it would be nice to play around Berkley, at parks and other peoples' homes.

Key to Awesomeness: “Asher is a remarkable child – smart, sensitive, creative – a very worldly sensibility,” Golodner said. “He’s such a neat kid. I feel so lucky to be his mom!” She said among his achievements is a love of reading. “He read all the Harry Potter books several times a piece – at the age of 7 and 8.”
