"If you want to support the Michigan wines, Chateau Grand Traverse is a Michigan favorite late-harvest Riesling," wine specialist Rene Parks of Westborn Market said. "It's juicy, fruity and sweet. ... I think they're  making 25,000 cases up in Traverse City."

The wine sells for $14.99 at Westborn, she said.

For those who prefer a less-sweet white wine, Parks recommended the B&G Beaujolais, which sells for $12.99 at Westborn.

"It's light and fruity with notes of stone fruit and melon," she said. "It's a step down from the late-harvest Rieslings."

The younger, Mountain Dew and Red Bull set prefer Moscato, a sweet, sparking Italian white wine, Parks said.

"The millennials who don't want to drink mom and dad's white wine are trending toward Moscato," she said, adding that Westborn sells Bella Bella Moscato for $8.99.

"If you do traditional, Pinot Noir is the way to go," said Parks, who recommended the red wine from BearBoat for $14.99. "It's nice and fruity, not sweet, not dry. It's soft and approachable. It's a perfect accompaniment to turkey."
